PRISCILA DA COSTA TRIO
13:00 Café Marinho
20:00 Café Europe
In Luxembourg, the music genre steeped in nostalgia and saudade, known as fado, needs no introduction. To kick off the second edition of our Rali do Fado e Canções on a high note, we invite you to a warm, intimate evening with Priscila da Costa and her powerful, evocative voice from Lisbon.
Accompanied by Portuguese guitarist João Godinho and viola de fado player Paulo Levi, this singer—renowned beyond the borders of the Grand Duchy—will perform traditional fados with both simplicity and passion.
Beyond being a vocal coach, Priscila da Costa is not only the lead singer of Judasz & Nahimana and Ptolomea but also the voice of the professional Lisbon-based progressive doom metal band Sinistro.
Paula Oliveira
15:00 cafe de la place
Like 2024 Paula Oliveira is a singer based in Luxembourg who has been dedicated to fado for decades. Although fado is primarily a passion for her, she has always been able to balance it with her profession and is one of the few professional-level fado singers in Luxembourg, due to her excellent voice for fado and her broad and varied repertoire. She has performed fado concerts in Luxembourg and other countries, in venues ranging from auditoriums to restaurants offering dinner concerts, as well as other performance halls, always accompanied by professional guitarists.

Maria Tejada
16:00 Café Marinho
18:00 Café du Chateau
It was during a trip to Portugal that Maria noted an aesthetic and spiritual similarity between fado and the emblematic genre of Ecuador: the pasillo. Indeed, both styles are performed in an acoustic format that includes vocals, a rhythm guitar, and a lead guitar engaging in a dialogue with the singer (the Portuguese guitar in fado and the requinto for the pasillo) and are imbued with drama and nostalgia, their poetry narrating the loves and daily life of their people.
Carlos Pedroso
16:00 Café de la place
Based in Luxembourg since his youth, he has been singing fado for several decades with passion and authenticity. As one of the few professional-level fadistas in the country, he captivates audiences with his deep voice and extensive repertoire. He has performed in Luxembourg and abroad, on stage, in concert halls, and at dinner shows, always accompanied by talented musicians. A winner of national competitions in Portuguese, French, and Italian song, he embodies a rare vocal versatility in the service of emotion.
Each performance is a living tribute to the tradition of fado, enriched by a unique sensitivity and a journey full of experience.
